Many are interested in buying an eBook on internet marketing strategies, but are uncertain of what path to take. It’s hard to know what is best for you and what you can benefit most from. Many beginners specifically struggle with this problem. This articles’ purpose is to show you what to look for when you are deciding on what internet marketing strategy you plan to set out for yourself.

No time to waste. Let’s go!

Tip 1 out of 5: Be an Expert

you at least want it to be professional, and experts should have “something to do with it”. Experience, proof of income beats everything in internet marketing, and so be sure there is tons of it. Another part of credibility is testimonials. Does the website you are visiting have solid testimonials from solid resources? Are they credible? Do they show Images? Audio? Or even video testimonials? If at least one or two of these are “true” then it is good indicator of a proven product, backed by a proven crowd. If you are serious it’s of course suggested to choose the most professional tips you can get.

Tip 2 out of 5: Proof

Proof… Oh man, this is a biggie for anyone who is a bit seasoned in the game, but when you are a “newbie” it’s not easy to recognize “truth” from “fiction”. Some people make outrageous income claims which nobody who has been around would believe… But when you are starting out, it’s not uncommon to fall for these types of “emotional triggers”; I know I did when I was new.

Tip 3 out of 5: Credibility

who is this person? Can you Google him/her and find multiple sites? Can you find hundreds or thousands of articles written by the same author? Does he or she have multiple websites with similar proof, products? Are they running a blog or newsletter? This is usually a good indication that the person is serious in the biz and it increases credibility.

Another part of credibility is testimonials. Does the website you are visiting have solid testimonials from solid resources? Are they credible? Do they show Images? Audio? Or even video testimonials? Are they running a blog or newsletter? This is usually a good indication that the person is serious in the biz and it increases credibility. If at least one or two of these are “true” then it is good indicator of a proven product, backed by a proven crowd.

Tip 4 out of 5: Overall Design

A professionally designed website with a header graphic that feels professional is a great sign of a solid website. You should reconsider if the site looks like it’s created by a 10 year old.

Tip 5 out of 5: Other people are recommending the product.

This means that if you search for things like “review” or “testimonial” or “success story” on Google you find at least one or two website that have a solid review of the product. This is VERY common and should indicate a serious business owner who has gone great lengths to find affiliates and joint venture partners.

Your credibility as a seller on eBay all boils down to one thing; your feedback rating. In fact, this is true of buyers too. Our feedback rating is the only visible way our prospective buyers can gauge our professionalism and reliability. Not only that, but you can’t even list a “Buy It Now” item until you have a feedback rating of 10.

Basically, your feedback is one of the most important factors of your eBay business. And, it’s one of the hardest things for a new eBay seller to overcome.

However, there are ways to build your feedback quickly so that prospective buyers feel comfortable bidding on your items.

Buy things from eBay yourself.

Now hold on. I hear you, “Buy things? I’m on eBay to make money, not spend it!” But, hear me out.

You may not realize it, but there are literally millions of things for sale on eBay. And not just collectibles and electronics. Did you know that you can buy shampoo on eBay? Certain foods? Cleaning products? And that you’ll usually pay less for them than you would at Wal Mart, including shipping?

So, grab your grocery store list and do some searches on eBay.

Another method to build feedback is to purchase penny items. Many eBay sellers sell an ebook, or article of some sort, or even software programs for a penny. They do this to build their feedback. So, by purchasing from them, you both benefit. You can literally buy 100 penny items in a couple of days and have a very respectable feedback rating quickly for a buck. And remember, there are no shipping charges for these penny items because they’re delivered digitally. Okay, you’ve heard all the chatter, listened to the hype and you’re excited. You’re ready to get a piece of all those fortunes being made on eBay.

But that’s as far as you get. You’re at a complete loss when it comes to getting started.

The first thing you need is an eBay seller account. Setting one up is free, quick, and an easy way to get your feet wet on the eBay site.

The eBay site is very user friendly. What I mean by that is, they make it easy for even the newest of newbies to use. This is for their benefit as well as yours. The more money you make, the more money eBay makes. Simple as that.

Have you ever bought anything on eBay? If so, you’re halfway to a sellers account. Simply go to eBay’s main page and log in to your buyer account. You’ll see a link that states “Create A Seller’s Account.” Click on it and fill in the blanks.

If you don’t have an eBay buyer account set up, simply go to eBay’s main page and click on the “Register” link. Then, click on the “Sell” link. The last link will be “Create A Seller’s Account.” Click on it and let eBay guide you through the easy process.

That’s it. You’re done. You are now an eBay seller.

Now you’re ready to start selling on eBay. And, to keep your feedback rating high, simply give your customers what you promise them. If there is a flaw in an item, list it. If you’re not going to ship the item until 5 days after the auction ends, tell them. If you say you’re going to ship an item via priority mail, don’t send it parcel post. It really is as easy as that.

Publishing on the Web is one the most innovative changes in business in recent times. Many business start-ups use it as a viable way to promote their businesses. It is fast becoming the number one way businesses connect and stay in touch with their customer base.

There was a time not long ago when it was all too easy to be at the top of any search engine with just a few smoke and mirrors tricks. Sadly, some of those ineffective tactics are still being sold as preferred methods today.

Successful Web masters, search engine experts and site owners have all come to the same conclusion about “black hat” SEO tactics: if you don’t want to get slammed by the search engines, then you better play by the rules. The worst part is that it’s all unnecessary in the first place. There are much better ways to appease the powers that be while gaining greatly in the race with competitors.

Article Marketing

Submitting articles to article directories is a proven way to attract more visitors, gain higher search engine rankings and make you more money. Online e-zines and newsletters today offer the ability to be seen and recognized by thousands of potential new customers daily. A well-written article will pull visitors from search engines for years.

Submitting articles is a fast and easy way to connect with your customers and build credibility while obtaining expert status in your given field. Search engines and article directories, however, are getting tougher on the articles they accept for publication. They seek good, solid, spam-free informational articles and will accept nothing less.

Website/Sales Copy

Copy writing has become a top skill required for success in online businesses. If a business owner decides not to use the services of a professional writing agency, then the decision to learn copy writing needs to be taken very seriously. It is, nonetheless, a skill that can be learned with study and practice.

There is a process that goes along with solid copy writing and connects the product, target market and overall plan together. Good copy writers master this and know how to create emotional triggers through anchors. They are insightful and detail-oriented.
Success requires you to provide good website content for your visitors. Excellent web content is required to sell goods and services in this Internet Age. Web copy must engage, inform and be search engine friendly. Online readers are intent on finding information quickly and not wading through pages of muck and hype.

Copy writing is all about sales. Writing effective web content is the key to converting visitors into buyers. Good copy obviously generates more sales than poor copy. Copy writing is about using selective words that provide more effect than graphics and pictures.

Many people with broad backgrounds and a knack for the written word find copy writing easy to accomplish. Individuals good at grammar and writing may be able to develop outstanding website content themselves. Profit pulling content will put a business miles ahead of the competition. If that’s not your cup of tea, then there are professional writing services available to provide exactly what is needed.

Several things to keep in mind when writing articles and copy:

Consistency Through Change

Writing web content is not a one-time task. The successful business web site will change content frequently. The same applies to articles submitted and published; it is an on-going process.

Web content that is fresh, relevant and well-written is instrumental to success. Also remember search engines prefer relatively short pages of about 500-700 words; writing effectively for the Web is an instance where more is not necessarily better.

Keywords Are Key

While important for all web content, keywords are not the whole picture in and of themselves and they must be relevant and frequently searched. Keywords bring the web page or article to the attention of Web surfers seeking information.

Ensure careful placement of one or two relevant keyword terms most likely searched when looking for that kind of page. The same practice applies to content articles that are submitted and distributed for publication.

More than anything else; be patient. Rome wasn’t built in a day and your Web presence won’t be either. Technique, skill, patience and consistency will win out in the race to become connected with your targeted customer base.

Of all the factors that contribute to how well an item will sell during an auction period, some of the most basic, yet often times overlooked aspects of eBay listings are the photos that a seller chooses to use to show an item that is for sale. It would seem obvious that the photos of an item offered for sale would be important. Even so, as you look through the thousands of listings for auctions being held on any given day, you will see photo after photo that are rough, blurry, haphazard, goofy, and sometimes, not even a picture of the item being sold or any item that is even similar.

Thank goodness for the folks who live among us with brains that never seem to engage with the rest of their nervous systems. The photo is positively one of the most vital tools a buyer has in determining if he/she is interested in becoming a successful bidder, and to what lengths he/she is willing to go to ensure that his/her bid wins. Furthermore, the photo is not only a tool, but it is a tool that has been provided by the seller. This means that the buyer will naturally make judgments, not only about the item that is selling, but also about the credibility of the verbal and or written description that is also given by the seller.

A blurry, or shady photo, or a photo that is taken of the item without regard for its appearance (i.e., was it cleaned or dusted prior to the shot?), as well as evidence as to whether care was given to specifically show any damage that a prospective buyer would want to have disclosed often times does more to make up a buyers mind about buying the item than anything that a seller can write in the listing or say in a pre-sale email.

On the other hand, an item that is photographed by a seller who portrays the item as an object of value, an item that has been cared for, and an item that is worth the time taken to photograph it under the best possible conditions will often times bring a higher ending bid amount than similar items in as good or better condition that were photographed poorly.

To sum it all up, take the time to take photos of the item you are selling that are well lit, clear, focused, and the featured object in the photo. Also, take as many angles as you can to show the item from every direction. Finally, if there are any blemishes, or areas of damage on the item, take photos of these areas and include them in your listing with short truthful descriptions.

It is not uncommon for buyers to ask you to take a photo of a special angle, or point of view. Expect this kind of request and be ready to offer the service or state well ahead of time in the body of your listing that the only photos that you will be presenting are the ones that are posted at the time the auction begins.

Article Source: Ebay Auctions Photos to show an item that is for sale

The success of eBay has been attracting millions of people looking for things to buy or sell online, and its growing popularity helped set off a flurry of similar online auction and shopping businesses. But online auctions were among those who were badly hit by the dotcom bubble burst, and many of those websites that appeared like mushrooms in 2000 were as quick to disappear online.

Luckily, such was not the case with other online auction and shopping companies that have managed to survive and continue its business. Among those companies, aside from eBay, are Yahoo! Auctions, Amazon Auctions, uBid.com, and bid stuff finder such as BidFind.

Three Types of Online Auctions

If you are looking to buy or sell a specific item online, the wide plethora of auction and shopping sites with hundreds of products or services offered is enough to get you lost, sidetracked to other items, or even turn you off and just drop the whole idea. There are millions of items being traded online and it would be a good idea to have a basic idea on the types of online auctions sites.

Person-To-Person Auctions

This type of online auctions, while not necessarily the most secure, most certainly allows a large window of trust and credibility as it involves actual negotiations with individuals. As such, it allows greater leeway for haggling of the price, quantity, or other terms of the sale or purchase, and wider choices in goods. But be cautious of some companies’ practice of plunking their products in auctions at stock prices that are actually equal to or more than their usual retail price.

Company Commercial Auctions

This type of auctions involves big companies that use auction sites to sell their surplus stock, reconditioned items or withdrawn products. Other companies go into commercial auctions as a complementary method of selling items.

Real-time/Live Auctions

Some auctions go a notch higher by doing live auctions via Internet broadcast. Bidders participate in the bidding at real-time either within a specific auction site, or from through the Internet. This type of online auctions usually requires pre-registration to be able to participate in the actual bidding.

Some Auction Terms To Live By

Participating in an online or offline auction does not involve ordinary terms of buying and selling. Knowing the proper auction terminologies is a must for anyone who plans to take part in an auction. “As is, where is” is the term that refers to an item on sale as it is found or in its present form. This usually connotes non-return of sold items. Bid Cancellation refers to the unilateral cancellation by the seller of a bid item. Bid Retraction refers to the unilateral cancellation by a bidder of hi/her bid during an auction. Deadbeats refer to winning high bidders who fail to pay for the item won. Escrow refers to the money held in trust by a party other than the seller and buyer, and paid to the seller after delivery is made to the buyer. Minimum Bid refers to the smallest amount set by the seller for which the item is auctioned. On the other hand, Maximum Bid refers to the highest bid amount that a bidder will pay for the auctioned item.

Article Source: Joint Venture Marketing - 50 Benefits

Did you know that you could attract more web traffic more effectively when using a combination of natural and paid search listings? Although there is undependable evidence showing that you can get to the top ranking in both paid and natural listings, which can possibly triple your click through rates. Crossing ran a recent report that supposes that running an integrated natural and paid search campaign leads to improved online performance over running either a natural search or paid campaign alone. More than likely, this is because when someone does a search, views an organic, and paid listing at the same time, this reinforces the sites credibility.

When the results of paid search campaigns were compared to the results of paid campaigns in which the same keywords also had natural search results occurring at the same time, it was found that online performance dramatically improved. For one business, an online marketing company, click-through increased by over ninety percent, visitors increased by over forty percent, orders increased by nearly forty five percent and time spent on the website increased by over thirty eight percent.

Although the research results by iCrossings may not be as important as some other unreliable analysis, it does still strongly show that webmasters who reach the top rankings of both a paid search campaign and the organic search listings achieve greater benefits.

WebSideStory Inc, performed a recent study and found that both paid and organic search traffic are highly targeted, with a rate of fifty seven million search engine visits found that paid search engine listings had an order conversion rate of 3.40 % over 3.13 % for natural search listings.

However, with paid search listings webmasters and marketers are able to get rid of keywords that do not perform well and replace them with higher converting terms. Paid search listings also allow control of the landing page and the initial message the visitor receives whereas organic listings cannot be controlled in the same way. This means that on their own, paid search listings are more effective than organic listings. The two together, however, produce a synergy that enhances these results substantially.

Natural listings are free of charge and the result of doing the hard yards of optimizing your website pages for search engines. They are a well earned result that should be aimed for by providing relevant content that is optimized for keywords and related words and phrases. To increase your natural search engine position, make sure your website is well structured with appropriate internal and external links and keep to a single main theme. To achieve top listing organically takes a lot of time and effort. Therefore, it is understandable that most marketing campaigns relying on search engine listings take advantage of pay per click advertising.

The key to the best results is to use paid search listings while optimizing your website to achieve high search engine results placement over the longer term. When you achieve natural listings at the same time as your paid listings appear, you can expect to receive additional website traffic than you would if only the one or the other appeared at a time. This synergistic benefit expresses the real value of integrating paid and natural search listing strategies to increase targeted website traffic and sales.

Article Source: Did You Know That You Could Attract More Web Traffic More Effectively

There are many areas to Search Engine Optimizations, but if you want to rank well on Google then the most important aspect of any SEO campaign is Links and the process of Link building.

This is a lengthy and often frustrating process and it involves many different steps in order to be successful. The key thing to remember is to be patient; it can take over 4 weeks for you to see the benefit of any link building campaign. It can also take longer for people who you have requested links for to get back to you or even add your link, so do think that you will do some link building and be T10 on Google in a few weeks.

Reciprocal Links

The first and most debatable way to gain links is by getting what are called reciprocal links. This process involves you placing a link to website A and then those placing a link back to you. Now the debate focuses on how effective this form of links is and weather Google will penalize you for participating in this.

The answer to this is that they are both good and bad, confused? Well basically its kind of like beer, if you drink in moderation its good for you but if you go crazy and indulge too much then its not.

Relevant Links

Relevant links are important to any link building campaign, these help define your site and Google places a higher value on these than non relevant links. So what is a relevant link, well it’s a link that is on the same topic as your website. So if you have a website that sells hotels, then having travel related or accommodation related links are better.

Directories

There are different types of directories on the internet and the two main ones are Free and Paid. These can be great for not only building one way links but also getting good quality links to your website. The two best known directories’ are Yahoo and DMOZ; these have the highest credibility with Google and will give you a quality link back. They do both have their drawbacks though as the DMOZ is free but it can take a long time to get listed and if you have an affiliate website then you have practically no chance of a listing. Yahoo will list your website within a few days but they will charge you a massive $299 for the privilege and that’s not even a guarantee that you will be listed in the directory.

The best thing to do is look at other cheaper quality directories, there are plenty out there my top five are

1. Bubl
2. Greenstalk
3. Botw
4. Iwebtool
5. Aviva

There are some pretty good lists of directories on the net and for both free and paid ones, try seocompany.ca list of various directorys. Also you cpuld do a Google search for “free directory’s” or “paid directory’s”.

Blogs and Forums

Blogs and forums can be a great for getting links also and also relevant links at that, just type into a search engine “blog” or “forum” and a keyword related to your website and you should find a good selection of relevant blogs and forums.

You can then contribute information to a forum and usually add an anchor tested link to your website as a signature. These can give you high pr backlinks depending on the quality of the forum.

Blogs usually allow you to comment or contribute to them and this again allows you to get a link back to your website. Also starting your own blog can allow you

Finding Relevant Links

The most basic and most time consuming way to find links is by searching the internet for sites which you can add your site too. There are a few ways to do this, one is to type into a search engine the words “add url” or “add website” and a keyword related to your website. So if you have a books website then type “add url book” as a search.

Another well used method is to find websites that link to your competitors; you can use programs such as IBP or SEO Elite which both cost money. Alternatively you can type where you replace your competitor with a website which is in Google top 10 for one of your keywords.

This method can be effective for finding which directories your competitors are using and also you can sometimes find sites which they are paying to list on. The chances are if your competitors are paying for advertising on a site then it is probably worth getting your website listed there too.

Write Articles

A great way of not just getting one way links but also good contextual links as you can write an article on a topic related to your website and add a link within the content where relevant. This method also allows you to add a link back to your website in the author section which will be kept with the article.

The article can then be submitted to various websites which distribute them for you. Basically they give people permission to use you article on their website providing they retain your author information, thus you can gain dozens of links from a single article. Since the sites often are on the same topic as the article meaning that you can often give relevant links back to you site.

Article Source: Increase Google Rankings With Links Building

If you’ve had a look at a few content rich membership sites recently, you may have noticed they use teaser articles. This is where they print an excerpt of the article, with an active link to read the full article. Only problem is, the full article is usually under virtual lock and key - you discover, upon clicking the link, that you have to be a member to read the full article.

So, is this a good way to get members to join your site or not?

The Reader Experiences Frustration …

I don’t know about you, but I get pretty frustrated when I click a link that says, ‘To read the full article, click here’, only to find out they want my money first!

I guess if it was more obvious that this was members-only content, I would be more philosophical. But once I’ve clicked, waited for the page to load, only to find out I was essentially wasting my time, I feel a bit ripped off. It certainly doesn’t put me in a ‘buy’ mood. I haven’t yet joined a membership site when that was my introduction to it.

The Balance Between Arousing Curiosity - And Annoying People

I can understand why membership owners do it (aside from the fact that this is probably how their membership manager is set up). You want to get people interested in joining your site, but you don’t want to give them everything for free.

Whilst this is a valid concern, I do think that if the teaser articles are the only content your non-member can read, you’re doing yourself a disservice.

By giving people some other blog posts or articles to read, you’re letting them see that you do indeed offer good quality information. It establishes your credibility, and effectively pre-sells your paid content.

Whilst not everyone will join your membership, at least by giving them some free content to read, you will somewhat allay that sense of frustration. And in the process, turn some visitors simply browsing, into buyers.

People are suspicious online. Not only do they have to worry about being ripped off by someone they don’t know, but many have bought poor quality products before, and are wary of doing so again. Your free content, without giving away everything, can go some way to easing that suspicion.

Teaser Content Does Have Its’ Place …

Teaser content does succeed very well in creating a sense of curiosity. If it is handled well, and is not the only content in the public part of the site, then it can serve as a good introduction to the benefits of your paid membership. It is only when it exists without any other freely available content, that there is a problem.

Content And Search Engine Traffic

There’s another reason you want to have some free content on your site. Given that it will be tightly themed around the niche your membership site is in, it has the potential to deliver you a lot of free traffic from the organic search results. That traffic is potential customers - gained at no cost to you. Without that search engine traffic, you’re going to have to work much harder at your marketing efforts.

Like any marketing, it is a matter of finding the balance between intriguing your visitor, whilst still conveying a sense of credibility about your membership. Teaser content on its’ own will provide curiosity, but not credibility. However, by adding other free content, in the form of blog posts or articles, you can have the best of both worlds. You are able to keep your premium content for your subscribers, whilst still giving your visitors a sense of what you’re about, and your depth of knowledge on your topic.

Article Source: Teaser Content And Membership Sites - Is It Good Marketing?

When you are doing a internet home business, primary aim of your web site is to make profits by making sales. Therefore your website should be geared towards and equipped enough to make enough sales. From very beginning, it is important to put measures in place to accomplish that aim.

To accomplish ultimate aim of sales, your website must become response oriented. Nothing beats a response oriented website when it comes to delivering results.

However a response need not be a sale necessarily. It could be making the visitor give his email address in exchange to a free download or it could be subscribing to a newsletter.

Getting a response demands a page with content and information as to what should your visitor do. You must let your visitors know what do you want from them.

It is a fast world today. People will not stay on your website for long. So your website must clearly tell them what it is about and what should they do in order to get what you promise.

To achieve the response, you must tell your visitors the benefit they would receive if they respond. If your desired response is a sale then you must impress your visitors the moment they arrive, take them by hand and tell them what they should do to purchase what you are selling.

“Click Here To Purchase” or “Order Here” or “Subscribe Here”are simple action calls which may result in tremendous difference to your sales.

Do not consider your visitors very savvy. Explain the process as you would explain it to a child in tenth grade. As reach of internet grows, more and more people are coming to internet for information and buying. Just because you have an idea about navigation does not mean your visitors would have.

Your website must exude credibility and must win the confidence of your visitors. And you do not get much time to do that.

So build your website carefully with your visitors in mind and state your most desired response.
You will see the difference yourself
